Ask Beadie

Got a question? Ask the most important member of the I'm The Boss Dog Care team: resident French Bulldog, Beadie. Based in Croydon and caring for dogs in local areas, we offer fun-packed Dog Walks, a Pet Taxi service and local Dog Visits in your own home.

I'm The Boss Dog Care is small. We like it that way. Your dog gets the attention it deserves with fully insured, DBS checked, and dog first-aid trained carers.

I'm The Boss Dog Care serves the following areas:

Croydon, East Croydon, South Croydon, West Croydon, Purley. Not sure? Just ask.

Dog Walking

How much does it cost?

Group dog walks start at £15/hr. View our full price list here.

How many dogs do you take on a walk?

We are small, and we like it that way. We take a maximum of four dogs on walks.

Where will you walk my dog?

Safety comes first. If it's hot or raining, we'll head to the woods where your dog can play and rest in the shade if needed. All walks are local to Croydon: so we'll stay in South East London and Surrey where your dog can play with friends in parks, fields, and woodland. If your dog has a preference, let us know!

What time are weekday group walks?

We know that you want us to help you when you can't be there so we can be flexible. Generally, we'll head out on an earlier group walk (11.00-13.00) and an afternoon group walk (13.30-15.30).

Why do you specialise in small to medium dogs?
Because of our transport! We have a car and not a van, and it's only fair to take doggos who can travel comfortably in the vehicle.

What if I want my dog to walk alone?

No problem. If you would like your doggo to receive extra attention, then we offer solo walks.

How long is each dog walk?

We offer fun-packed hour-long walks. If your dog needs a longer or shorter walk, let us know, and we'll contact you. The walk doesn't start until we arrive at the walking destination, so pick up and drop-off isn't included in the walking time, but is included in the price.

Do you take photos on the walk?

Yes! And always with your consent. We use the pictures on our social media and website: your dog is too cute not to get likes, right?

How do you transport my dog?

We have a large cage that we can separate into two cages with a divider. We also have seat extenders if your dog doesn't like the cage and would rather travel in the back of the car, clipped into the seat. We make sure to cover your dog's travel preferences with Boss Onboarding

Can you walk my dog off the lead?

That's ideal! We'll need your written consent and for your doggo to pass our recall assessment to check that they safely come back to us every time.

Bookings

How do I book?

The best way to book is to use our Contact Form. We'll need to cover the same questions if you message, call or email, so this is the fastest way to enquire. After that, we'll kick-off with Boss Onboarding and ask you to sign our Terms & Conditions, and give Off-Leash Consent (if relevant). You are also welcome to request a meet and greet!

What is Boss Onboarding?

This is our unique way of ensuring that we have all of your dog's preferences locked in. How do they travel? What's their favourite toy? Do they have any allergies? We also find out about your needs. Do you need a repeat booking? Do you want us to leave your pup's food topped up? You get to tell us everything, and you can update your details at any time.

What is a Boss Report Card?

Feedback comes as standard. We let you know how every walk goes so that you don't even have to ask. You're paying for a service, and you should be able to "relive" walks and visits as if you were there.

Can I have a meet and greet with the team before booking?

Yes! We are a small team, and our diaries get busy, so typically we hold meet and greets during the week after 17.30 when we're not walking or visiting dogs. You and your dog will have the chance to meet Anna at your home, give your spare keys, and you can ask any questions.

Will you collect my spare keys?

We ask that spare keys are made available during the meet and greet. If you need spare keys back in between bookings, we will invoice you £8 to cover the cost of our time and fuel. If the booking is complete, we'll typically leave the keys in the property for you.

How do I pay?
We'll invoice you after the service and ask for payment within one week of the invoice. If you have a regular booking, we'll bill you at the end of the month for ease. We ask for
a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to cancel any Dog Walking appointments and 48 hours' notice for Dog Visits or we'll invoice for the full amount. To pay, simply transfer funds to the bank account on the invoice.

Do you take credit cards?

Not at the moment. A bank transfer is our preferred payment method. We'll send you the details when we invoice you.

Can I make a repeat booking?

Yes! We like to build long-lasting, trusting relationships with our dogs and owners, so you can book out your dog's activity with us at least one month in advance if you need.

Are parking fees included?

Additional parking fees are not included in the price, so if you don't have off-street parking, then we ask that you share the best location to park (a question in the Boss Onboarding form), and give any visitor on-street parking permits that might help. If we are charged for parking we will invoice you as well as the service you're paying for.

What areas do you cover?

I'm The Boss Dog Care serves the following areas:

Croydon (South, East & West), Selsdon, and Purley. We generally only operate in Croydon for Dog Visits.

What's the payment and cancellation policy?
You can view our full Terms & Conditions here. We ask for a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to cancel any Dog Walking appointments and 48 hours' notice for Dog Visits or we'll invoice for the full amount.

Do you have a COVID-19 policy?

We follow the government guidance set out for close contact small businesses. You can find it here.

Yes! We have a tracker that allows us to track the location of our vehicle. It responds with a map of the location (accurate up to 10 meters).

Will you take my dog inside a drop-off location?

Yes! Just let us know if you need us to do the drop-off without you when you book the taxi. We can stay with your pet during vet visits, for example, when you can't be there.

Dog Visits

How much does it cost?

Dog Visits start at £13/30 mins. View our full price list here.

At the moment, we're fully booked for X2 Dog Visits a day during weekdays, apart from Fridays. Get in touch and see if we can do one visit and a group walk.
